Our college was established in 1985 at Guntur, A.P. to inculcate national spirit and discipline among students. The NCC Army Wing was started in the college in 1999, and further, in 2018, the Girls Wing of NCC was introduced. The college comprises both Senior Division (Boys) and Senior Wing Cadets (Girls). The College NCC Platoon holds A Company which comes under 1 (A) Engr Coy NCC of Guntur Group, A.P. & T NCC Directorate.
CAPTAIN Dr. V. Chittaranjan Das (2000 to 2019) has nurtured the NCC Army Wing in the past. The Senior Division Boys Unit is presently commanded by Lieutenant Dr. V. Tara Chand, Assistant Professor of the Mechanical Engineering Department, and the Senior Wing Girls unit is commanded by Lieutenant Dr. J. Usha Kranti, Assistant Professor of the Civil Engineering Department.
The Associate NCC Officer (ANO) is an important link in the NCC organization between the Battalion and the cadets. ANOs are the feeder node of NCC as they maintain direct contact with the cadets throughout the year. There are two training establishments: Officers Training Academy, Kamptee, and Women Officers Training Academy, Gwalior. These institutions train the school and college teachers selected to head the company/troop, with courses ranging from 21 to 90 days in duration.
