Best Engineering Students Today - Building Enterprise Success Tomorrow

EDC was set-up in R.V.R. & J.C. College of Engineering campus with the assistance of A.I.C.T.E., New Delhi, to promote and educate young students to take the benefit of the policies of the government by establishing their own ventures. The cell organizes different activities and events to inculcate Entrepreneurial Spirit among the Science & Technology students.

The mission is to promote entrepreneurship-led innovation, thereby creating "nation of entrepreneurs" driven by creativity, initiative, risk taking, discipline, and personal development.

Objectives:

  • To develop entrepreneurial and intra-preneurial skills and techniques necessary to recognize problems, and develop & carryout realistic solutions to problems.
  • To educate Engineering students from business to non-business, innovation to invention within the existing business and in start-up business situations.
  • To create works of culture, nurture arts, host the intellectual conscience and discourse of society, generate new scientific knowledge for the good of both the economy and society at large.
  • To organize mentorship programmes - employ a symmetrical effort so that mentor and mentee learn from each other.

Activities:

  • Training and Development - by means of needs assessment, set objectives, prepare for conduct of training, measure and evaluate training results.
  • Capability Building - through social preparation, value orientation/formation, leadership communication, organization, basic knowledge, and cooperatives.
  • Appropriate skills - to train in free markets in a global economy, personal financial success skills and business ethics.
  • Awareness program on intellectual property rights.
  • Industrial visits, Technology adaptation, appropriateness and diffusion.

  • Sri Ravi Eswarapu, CEO & Director of a Hub, conducted a "Bootcamp on Entrepreneurship" on 1st March, 2024.
  • Sri Ravi Eswarapu, CEO & Director of a Hub, delivered a lecture on "Achieving Problem Solution Fit and Product-Market Fit" on 29 February, 2024.
  • Mr. Diwakar Vadapalli, Incubation Manager at a Hub, delivered a lecture on the "Entrepreneurship skill, attitude & behavior development" on 29 February, 2024.
  • Dr. Radhika Sajja delivered a session of "Kick Start Program on Entrepreneurship,Innovation, and the Charms of Being an Entrepreneur" on 28 February, 2024.
  • Dr. S. Radhika conducted an Outreach Program on Innovation & Entrepreneurship at Dr.K.L.P Public School on 12 February, 2024.
  • Mr. Bharat Gujavarti, Founder & CEO of Pragmatiq Systems, Hyderabad, conducted the Kickoff Event for the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Certification Program on January 22,2024.
  • One day workshop on 'Problem solving techniques and Ideation Strategies' was organized for 200 students of all branches on Nov 24, 2023. Dr. C.Chandra Mouli, Incubation Manager at AIC-SKU, Anantapur, is the resource person.
  • Dr. Raghava Rao Atukuri, Social Entrepreneur, delivered lecture to the second year CSE & CSBS students on 'How to Convert on Innovation into a Startup' on November 18,2023.
  • Pavani Pagidimarri, Central Digital Head, Prant Saha Sayojak, AP delivered lecture to Third year CHE, CSD, CSM, CSO, EEE, IT, and second year MCA students on 'Entrepreneurship', on Nov 9, 2023.
  • Bodepudi Siva Koteswara Rao, Founder of Profit Shoe Company Private Limited delivered lecture to Third year CHE, CSD, CSM, CSO, EEE, IT, and second year MCA students on 'Navigating the Path to Success: Insights from Entrepreneurs', on Nov 9, 2023.
  • Mr. Bharat Gujavarti, Founder & CEO of Pragmatiq Systems, Hyderabad delivered a talk on "Entrepreneurship and Innovation as Career Opportunity" on 16 October 2023.
