IIChE RVR & JCCE Student Chapter, Department of Chemical Engineering, RVR & JC College of Engineering, Guntur was formed on 30th of July 2004. Since its inception, the student chapter has been organizing guest lectures inviting experts from industry and academia.
Programs like ChECK (Chemical Engineering Contest for Knockout) have been organized before, such as ChECK 2007 and ChECK 2009. The confidence gained from these events led to the responsibility of organizing the 6th Annual Session of Chemical Engineering Congress, SCHEMCON 2010, during 24 - 25 September 2010.
In order to face the competitive world, a student must have good communication skills. To encourage students to improve their interpersonal and communication skills and develop leadership qualities, the ECE Association and IETE Students' Forum (ISF) have been formed.
The ECE Association comprises members from the faculty and students from various years, with the Head of the Department serving as the President.
The IETE Students' Forum works in consultation with the IETE Local Centre in Vijayawada, comprising faculty and students from various years, also with the Head of the Department as the President.
The ECE Association and IETE Students Forum conduct Student Meets, Guest Lectures, and other co-curricular and extracurricular activities such as Extempore, Quizzes, Debates, Group Discussions, Just a Minute, Elocution, and Technical Talks. These events greatly help the student community reach their full potential.
The student initiative organization RAJEEA (RVR&JC Electrical and Electronics Engineering Association) was formed with the primary aim of exposing aspiring Electrical and Electronics engineering students to real-world challenges. Both faculty and students of the EEE Department are members of RAJEEA.
RAJEEA organizes various activities like lectures by distinguished practitioners, industrial trips, and competitions.
The Department has IEEE & ISTE Student Chapters to facilitate effective interaction and updates with the industry and academia through seminars, workshops, and expert lectures.
RAJMEA, the student initiative organization, aims to expose aspiring Mechanical Engineering students to real-world challenges, with both faculty and students as its members.
RAJMEA organizes various activities like Guest Lectures by distinguished practitioners, Industrial Tours, and competitions. MECHMANTRA is the technical festival of Mechanical Engineering organized by RAJMEA, the largest of its kind at RVRJCCE, Guntur. This event started as a humble attempt to strengthen the foundations of Mechanical students and pave the way for them to understand theory in context with a variety of contests and events.
RVRJC GNU Linux Users Group (RJGLUG) is a student-led umbrella organization promoting the usage of free and open-source software among students. RJGLUG frequently conducts trainings and workshops to help students become familiar with free and open-source software. The group receives active support from other state-level Linux advocacy groups such as e-Secha.
